Spey Casting

Is the spey rod going to be the future rod of choice for Northeast striper fishing from rocks and beaches? Maybe, maybe not, but it sure is a fun and useful tool that opens up some great possibilities and offers a way to comfortably throw large flies farther in windy conditions.

We didn't set out to teach spey casting for salt water environments, it was mainly a useful tool used to pick stripers off the beach. But with so much interest over the last few summers, we decided to respond to the request for lessons. We can also provide classes for travelling salmon and steelheaders.
