The southernmost end of Casco Bay touches the vibrant city of Portland Maine, and the mouths of the Maine's Presumpscot and Royal rivers. These river mouths attract spawning bait fish, and the Striped Bass follow. After the bait fish move further into the rivers for spawning, the Stripers move off the river mouths and during the right tides the flats and estuaries of Casco Bay and the Scarbrough Marsh . It's here that you'll find an incredibly unique and productive Striper fishery, one that is ideal for shallow-water fishing enthusiasts, who enjoys casting the fly on clear water sandy flat or working a soft plastic with a spin rod along the shoreline structure. Join us for a day or two fishing Portland Maine.
